The unincorporated neighborhoods we serve are divided into service areas, as follows:

Service Area 1: Lockwood Valley, Rancho Matilija and Upper Ojai
Service Area 2: La Conchita, Rincon and Saticoy
Service Area 3: El Rio, Nyeland Acres and Somis
Service Area 4: Casitas Springs, Meiners Oaks, Oak View and Ventura River Valley
Service Area 5: Santa Rosa Valley
Service Area 6: Bardsdale, Buckhorn and Piru
Service Area 7: Unincorporated Newbury Park

Every service we provide and every decision we make is based on what will best serve the environment and the community and divert materials from the landfill, particularly organic materials, which emit methane gas, a super-pollutant that contributes to climate change.

As award-winning stewards of the environment, Harrison is committed to nothing more than keeping our land, air and water clean and thriving.

Food scraps can now go in your organic / yard cart! Effective in 2022, state law, Senate Bill 1383, requires food to be receycled, which reduces greenhouse gases, by keeping it out of the landfill.

Here’s how to join this environmental effort:

  • Collect food scraps while preparing meals, scraping plates or cleaning out fridge.
  • Place food Scraps in collection pail.
  • Empty collection pail in organic/yard waste cart.
  • Return pail to kitchen for collection.

Important note: Bag or No Bag?

Bag it! – Line pail with bag, place tied food bag in organic / yard waste cart.
